Sprouted green gram Kichdi

Ingredients:

      Green gram ( green lentil) sprouts- 1 cup
      Rice - 1 cup
      salt - 1/2 teaspoon
      melted butter- 1 table spoon
      black pepper- 1 teaspoon
      cumin - 1 teaspoon
      curry leaves 

Method:
    1. Mix rice ,sprouted green gram lentil  and 3 cups of water and salt. 
    2. Cook in  a pressure cooker for 3 to 4 minutes.
    3.  Heat a nonstick vessel , add butter , black pepper , cumin and cashew nuts ( optional) and stir for a minute.  
    4. Stir in the cooked rice and lentil mixture and curry leaves. 


Serve hot with any curry or chutney. It is nutritious and makes a warm dinner on a rainy or cold day. Any raita salad ( recipe given separately) can be added.
